    2. I like how the book starts out with The Dream. You know the one. Where school has started and you're running late and you're in your underwearah. Traumatized yet? It's THAT dream, and something I think just about every kid can relate to, especially that nervous child starting out to school for the first time.I'm not a real fan of Froggy though. He's got issues with sitting still and comes off more than a little ADHD. I didn't like how he got the class into an uproar and the principal joined in t [...]

    3. This would be a good book to read to younger students on their first day of school. In the book its about froggy being nervous for her first day but then everything turns out fine. This is a good lesson for kids not to be nervous because it will turn out ok and possibly be fun too.

    4. This is a very cute book about the first day of school for kids. I think this would be a great book to read in my classroom, because the kids can relate to it so much. Each and everyone of them has experienced a first day of school, and they may have been nervous just like Froggy. I think the illustrations are very good in this book as well.

    5. This is the book that introduced me to the Froggy series, when I was teaching second grade. I had frog-themed decorations in my classroom, so *of course* I needed some frog stories as well. Little did I know how well my students (and I !) would come to love this goofy little green guy. Abundant humor, some funny repetitive text, and problems to which children can relate, all make for joyous trips to the world of Froggy. Each book in this series adds a new adventure to befuddle Froggy, but he han [...]

    6. This is a series of books about Froggy. It is Froggy's first day of school and unlike most books about "first days of school," Froggy is actually very excited about going to school, but just like every child, Froggy has a huge problem with sitting still and paying attention. This is a great book to read to children at the beginning of the school year so that children can understand and know about distractions in school and how to overcome them.

    7. I started using this story this year with my Kindergarten classes. They get a big kick out of chanting along with the "flop, flop, flop" and Froggy's underwear adventure (he dreams he goes to school in his underwear). After reading this one, I'm able to throw in some fiction/non-fiction talk by asking them if real frogs wear hats and carry lunchboxes and if that means that it might be "made up". It's fun and I think they can relate pretty well to Froggy.

    8. Froggy Goes To School is a book that every teacher should have to share with their new class, the first week of there school year. Also it would be a great book for parents to read to their children before starting school. This can help to eliminate anxiety and show them the positives of meeting their new teacher, principal, and classmates. Appropriate for children ages 4-8.

    9. It is about a frog name Froggy and he woke up one morning and it was his first day of school and his mom asked him if he was nervous and he said that he was not. She said everyone has to nervous on the first day of school so they went to the bus stop together. Then off to school he went. But then when he got to school there was a point that he was nervous. So then after the nervous went away he was all good and off home he went. What I would do for this book is maybe read it on the first day of s [...]

    10. This is a cute story about Froggy and his first day of school. He goes to sleep the night before school starts and he begins having dreams about his first day. He dreams that he shows up to school in his underwear. The whole story talks about how he prepares for school and makes it through his first day of school and plays leap frog all the way home. For a lesson, you can have your students create a frog using their hand print and write about their favorite part of their first day of school or t [...]

The book begins with a funny dream Froggy is having about his first day of school and then goes through Froggy's first day of school adventures. Children will find great humor in this story and will want to read it again and again.

    18. This book would be a great book to read to young students on their first day of school. Froggy is nervous about his first day of school, and reading this book to students on the first day can help nervous students realize that they are not the only one who is nervous about the first day of school. The writing is simple but there is also a lot to read on each page for a 1st grade student. The pictures are creative and helps the students picture someone who is nervous on their first day of school. [...]

The night before he has a bad dream that EVERYTHING goes wrong at school. He forgets to get dressed and goes to school in his underwear, spills his milk, etc. He wakes up and goes to school the next day eager to see what awaits him. The next morning, however, Froggy isn't nervous, but rather excited to see what school will be like. He does a few things wrong like falls out of his seat and being too loud, but his teacher is very understanding. In the end, Froggy realizes that school is fun and he can't wait to go back.Young kids would relate to this book well. I think by reading this book on [...]

    24. I read this book in my first grade placement. Students can relate to Froggy and how he feels about his first day of school. This would be a great book to read sometime during the beginning of school, perhaps in the first or second week. You could read it on the first day to find out how the students are feeling about starting in a new classroom. You can read it on the second day to see how they felt the day before, what they thought was going to happen, and what actually happened. This book help [...]

    25. This is a fairly typical story in the Froggy series by Jonathan London and Frank Remkiewicz. Froggy has an embarrassing dream before the first day of school, but his day is much more fun. It's a good story and the illustrations are as comical as we've come to expect. Our girls love to read the "flop, flop, flop" parts as we read it together.

    26. This is a fun "first day of school" sort of book for early primary. The story begins with Froggy evidently waking up late and running to the school bus in his underwear, where he is totally embarrassed. It's just a dream (whew!) and Froggy wakes up for real and starts his day more appropriately! We follow Froggy through a few activities of the first day of school, meeting the teacher, his classmates and the principal. It took me a moment to realize that "Bubble, Bubble, Toot, Toot! Chicken, airp [...]

    28. Froggy goes to school was one of my favorite chilhood stories. I loved this story because of the dialogue in the text, ie) Whaaaaaaaat? We discussed children's books that would ease anxiety about the first day of school, this book would be perfect to read. I would use this book as a read aloud and get students actively engaged in the text. As I read the leaps and hops, I would get students up having fun with the text.

    29. we checked out this book as well as wimberly worried in preparation for kindergarten. this one resonated with e much more in that it focused on the rules and changes that happen when a little guy starts school and not anxiety. while froggy has some hiccups along the way he is mostly having fun and if i remember correctly wimberly was much more focused on the stress of seperation and the suchelijah doesn't have that in the least.
