    1. Graphic designer George Lois has collected and arranged around 300 quotes from Muhammad Ali and juxtaposed them with artwork, photographs, and other visuals. Ali's quotes will make you laugh, make you really think, maybe offend you, and will make you scramble for a notepad to write them down as ready-reference inspiration/wisdom. My Ali notebook begins with this quote: "The Service you do for others is the rentyou pay for your room here on Earth." This is a beautiful book.

    2. I love Ali. But I did not care for this book. The magic of Ali's "rap" is in watching and hearing him say all these things--the vibrancy of his beliefs and his words. They don't quite have the same punch (no pun intended) when trapped on paper.Plus, the book needed more Ali pics and less space-filling pics.

    5. Fun, silly, apropos collection, wonderfully and playfully designed by George Lois and featuring many of Ali's best quotes, poems, aphorisms, and spars with terse but effective context provided. A gift someone gave me years ago, and one I read only now after Ali's passing. Happy I received it in earnest.
