    1. You take all those spy movies and book, and you make them into female leads. Then you add picture, but not just any pictures, cool comic book art, then on top of all that, your female super spy is Black Widow, that's right the kick ass hero from the avengers. Although this story came out before Scarlett Johannsen made her a big screen hit. She was a super spy at war with another, calling herself Black Widow. I really like Devin Greyson, she knows how to write a good comic book spy superhero.

    3. This was just a bit meh for me. I didn't mind Volume 1 but it wasn't overly memorable and Volume 2 felt a little pointless and I felt that not much happened. I also was not a fan of the art style in either of the volumes, although I did prefer the art in Volume 1. As for the positives, I did like getting to know Natasha more and Yelena Belova was an interesting character.

    4. This was actually pretty enjoyable. I didn't like Vol.2 as much as 1 but yeah, it's a series which came out in the 90's and I hated comcis in the 90's, (unrealistic off-the-page art, characters with explosive muscles, etc) but its nothing like that. It' was a good subtle story with good art.

    7. A tale of two stories. Volume 1 was very middling. Introduces a second Black Widow who's idealistic and wants to supplant the first and display her superiority. No real strength of story-telling and a cameo from a really stupid-looking and uncharacteristic Daredevil. Volume 2 had more of a Face-Off vibe. Entertaining and compelling story of deception and duplicity. Volume 2 drags the score up, but not by much.

    10. Holy reprint Batman!Glad I did not spend money on this or I would be Pissed! The first half written by Greg Rucka was absolute crap. The second half was fantastic with absolutely gorgeous art by Scott Hampton, but guess what? I already had it got it years ago.Marvel should have a big stamp that says "REPRINT",or maybe "50% New Material!" sigh.

    11. I love Devin Grayson's comics work; she seems to really know the characters she writes, and the Black a Widow is no exception. The art on theses stories is excellent as well. The Black Widow has few really good solo stories. These are some of the best.

    13. The art by J.G. Jones and Scott Hampton wasn't my cup of tea, though Jones at least was serviceable. The story was terrible: preposterous, badly written, out of character Black Widow deserves better.

    15. Two stories which both sport very different art styles. First one with crispy clean superheroish art, the second nice painted one. Both bound together with fast plot and action. Good stuff.

    18. Part 1 is The Itsy-Bitsy Spider and part 2 is Breakdown. I loved The Itsy-Bitsy Spider. but Breakdown just couldn't hold my attention and I wasn't a fan of the art.
