    1. Christmas came early for me this year with this wonderful holiday treat from one of my favorite Chick Lit authors! Nine Ladies Dancing tells the story of Casey Ellis who dreads the holiday season because she thinks she's jinxed. (Based on the tragicomic flashbacks to all the bad things that have happened to Casey on previous Christmases, it's no wonder the poor girl has PTSD and gets twitchy every time she hears "The Twelve Days of Christmas" played.) 2. I typically prefer full-length novels to short stories or novellas, but if Cat Lavoie writes it, I will read it regardless of length. And, once again, she did not disappoint me. 3. I love all of Cat's books, she writes in such a way that you really feel you get to know the heroine of the story as if they're a friend. This short story was no exception! It's very witty, very romantic, and has a twist I didn't see coming! Really enjoyed it, perfect Christmas chick-lit :)

The author comes up with some wonderful words - adorkable and Quinn-tervention (they'll make sense when you read the book!) - and gives us, I suspect, an insight into her own creative process when Casey, the heroine, who is a clo [...]
