    1. First off, I love the art in this series! Volume two is battle intensive, well, really one big battle from beginning to end. I must admit to being a bit confused at certain points not sure which side was which at various points, especially the beginning. It does take a long time for the main characters to appear, both Simba: the female general and the man with the mask. Once they appear in the story it was easier for me to follow, being that I myself am not all that military minded. However, thi [...]

    2. Simba Zelbain is leading the fight against the Zoh army. The book opens in the midst of a battle and ends with the Zoh army retreating. The mysterious masked man helped defeat the men in white that are slaughtering Simba's army. I found this to be a quick moving action tale set in ancient Japan with magic mixed in to the political intrigue. A fun read!

    3. This is an Advanced Readers Copy received From NetgalleyOriginally on my blog:wordsnotesandfiction.I keep forgetting to put my blog on here. Here is the sequel and I read it in one sitting, or more like sitting on a chair and then an hour later, I was sitting on my bed. I have to say, I didn't like it as much as the first one. But manga series tend to span on for many volumes, so maybe the next one won't be the same. But Kamen seems to have this war and all of this stuff bores me, talking about t [...]

    4. In short: General Simba (young female) is at war with the Zoh army. Her actions are brash to her elders. Even her uncle, Lord Gailas will crush her army if he must. Out of seemingly nowhere, the masked man appears. . be continuedMy thoughts: Several elements must be present in an intriguing manga, mostly because the genre relies on your continued patronage of their art. First and foremost, there must be an interesting or appealing character with a mysterious backstory that you want to learn mor [...]

    5. 'Kamen Volume 2' picks up the story from volume 1, but ends on a cliffhanger again. If you want to whole story, you'll have to wait. This volume is mainly a castle siege, which I liked.Lord Simba has a much smaller attacking force, but superior tactics and strategy, including the tactical and important high ground. The opposing Zoh army is not going to give up easily. This takes up much of the book, until Kamen finally comes in. We don't learn much more about this masked man, so that part of the [...]

    6. The battle rages as Volume 2 picks up right where it left off in the first volume. Lord Simba may have an army much smaller than her enemy but she proves that strategy and skill make up for numbers. Though our Masked Man is missing throughout the bulk of the story, we are introduced to two other mysterious masked warriors fighting for the other side. Where did they come from, why are they here, and who ultimately controls them? Those answers will hopefully be revealed at some point but for now, [...]

    7. If you have not read the previous volume, this collection is quite confusing in places as it is not always clear who is who: however there is a glossary of names at the end. The plot deals mainly with a long battle between rival warlords, armies and a few mysterious characters with masks who cannot talk nor remove the mask without dying. It is also about Lord Simba, a woman general subject to her uncle. It is a story of a massive battle and finishes on a bit of a cliffhanger before the printing o [...]

    8. Now this one did get me mad, it traps you in with such an engaging story. Simba and everyone in her fort are in the middle of battle, Kamen is fighting a monster, the little girl disappear into the other world and the book ends. This book picks up exactly where book 1 left off, so if you read them back to back like I did you get super engaged in the war. You want Simba to defeat the Zoh Army, you want to see what happens with Kamen and the mask and you want to know about the little girl and the o [...]

    10. Volume 2 follows the mysteriously mysterious mute man who is both masked and mute (I did have fun with that bit) who tackles similarly mysteriously masked man as the enemy forces penetrate the castle defences. I am looking forward to v3 whenever that is released.

    11. Urgh I hate cliffhangers. But its pretty good if you like war manga and martial arts. There's a lot of good movement in the panel although these things ate up page numbers.
