    1. Why, o why do I do this to myself? All these books. Yes, all of them labelled as "romantic suspense" are utter crap. They all carry the same formula. A beautiful, "intelligent", yet lost heroine. A hero so macho, he makes me want to throw up, what with his six-pack abs, and knack to show up just before the woman he loves is going to be killed. Of course, there has to be insta love; they meet each other, they fucking hate each other, they fuck each other, they love fucking each other, they fuck s [...]

    2. 2 reluctant starsReasons why I didn’t give this book one star:1. I usually reserve one star ratings for books I was forced to read in school (usually by teachers I didn’t like.)2. It was free on (I LOVE lol)3. It wasn’t terrible. I did finish it after all.4. I’ve considered that maybe this is one of those it’s me not you situations.Reasons this book barely got two stars: 1. I spent most of this book bored and annoyed. 2. The characters NEVER shut up. When they talk they go through ev [...]

Acum viata ei este i [...]

    4. This is the 2nd book I have read of Vickie McKeehan's in the last 3 days. The 1st was Promise Cove, which is the 1st book in the trilogy. I have found it very hard to put these books down once I had started reading them. After I finished the 1st book last evening I immediately picked up the 2nd one and had read over a third of it before I figured it was time to get some sleep but I picked it up and started reading as soon as I got up this morning.I loved both of these books. The books are about [...]

    5. This book was a freebie a couple of weeks for a limited time on and I quickly scooped it up. I knew going in that it was the 2nd book in a series but since it looked like was about different people than the first I figured I’d go ahead and read it first so that if I didn’t like I wouldn’t be out any money. Trust me when I say that I spend enough money on books so I scoop up the freebies any time that I can. This book didn’t disappoint me and I will be going back to read book one as well [...]

I just Love Vickie McKeehan's writing she knows exactly how to get you to fall in love with her characters and the storyline. Each book I have read of hers I find I love even more than the last.A new life and a new beginning is what Emile Reed is looking for, and that is just what she gets. After being attacked by one of the henchmen that her former boss Jeremy Dochenko sent to silence Emile from testifying against him. Emile deems it necessary to get as far away from Chicago as she can get.She c [...]

    7. Hidden Moon Bay is book two in the Pelican Pointe series by Vickie McKeehan. It is an excellent book with plenty of action as well as romance. The characters are wonderful and it couldn’t have been set in a prettier setting. I simply could not put the book down. I am looking forward to the next in the series. Emile Reed was running. She had been accosted and nearly raped and killed in the parking garage. She could still feel the knife at her neck. She didn’t want to testify against Dovenko n [...]

    8. This book was so very delightful it had just the right amount of romance and mystery that all books should have. The fact that Hayden (Emile) took it upon herself to leave town after fearing for her life from hunch men who work for her old boss is impressive to say the least, she managed to live on the run for months, she changed her car, her daily life style, she changed her name and she found a place that she figured would be safe enough. What she didn’t count on was falling for the little t [...]

    9. "Hidden Moon Bay" by Vicky McKeehan is a lovely romance novel set on the beautiful coast of California. Under the assumed name of Hayden our heroine settles into the small community of Pelican Pointe to hide from her former Russian boss against whom she testified and who is still on the loose and after her life. The owners of the B&B she stays in soon become her surrogate family and policeman Ethan her love interest. 10. A Story of Danger and LoveVickie McKeehan grabbed my attention on page one of her novel, Hidden Moon Bay, as she described the brutal murder attempt on Emile Reed. I remained glued to the pages for the rest of the story as Emile flees for her life from Chicago to a remote coastal town in central California, changing her identity to Hayden Ryan on the way.As the main witness to a multi million dollar fraud, the perpetrators want her dead. She tries to lose herself as a nobody in the small commun [...]

    11. Wow, what a wonderful book about a woman on the run for her life, a ghost, a small town deputy, and a beautiful little town on the California coast. I thoroughly enjoyed this story about self preservation and starting over. Even through all the turmoil Hayden was able to find love in the unlikeliest of places and preserve in the face of such adversity. What a heartwarming story with a paranormal flare! Great writing!

    12. Book 2 in the series, a very nice blend of continuing the story from book 1 and yet letting Ethan and Hayden have their own story. A wonderful mix of romance, suspense, a bit of paranormal and lots of small town life. If you have read Robyn Carr's Virgin river series and enjoyed it, you will love this series. It is totally unique, but engages me the same way, leaves me with that warm fuzzy feeling. Off to read book 3 of 6 in this series

    17. Murder, mystery, romance and a "guardian spirit"what's not to like!McKeehan's second Pelican Pointe Novel, "Hidden Moon Bay," is a well written story with rounded characters you can't help but to love. Hayden Ryan nee Emile Reed is on the run after agreeing to witness against a Russian criminal, Jeremy Domenchko, who has bilked billions of dollars from American citizens. Ryan has a change of heart when an assassin nearly ends her life in a parking garage. Months later and near to her destination [...]

    19. I was pleasantly surprised by this. After reading some of the reviews online I almost didn't read it and am glad I decided to check it out for myself. It drew me in right quick, and was an entertaining read. The characters were believable and likable. There is a little bit of paranormal fantasy involved in the form of a ghost, but it was handled well and I felt added some dimension to the plot line. I did not read Book 1, this is Book 2 in the series. I did not find it necessary to read the firs [...]

THIS STORY HAD ALL THAT PLUS SEXXY ROMANCE WITH A TOUCH OF MYSTERY, ALL WRAPPED UP IN A GREAT WELL WRITTEN SERIES. I LIKE HOW THAT PART OF LIFE IN "PELI [...]

    21. Another great book by Vicki McKeehan! As the second book of this series unfolded, we are introduced to a new main character soon to arrive in Pelican Pointe. Hayden/Emile (you will just have to read it to know why she has two names), becomes a delightful new character in this series. Ethen is a deputy we met in the first book, however getting to know him and Hayden together, well, it was fun to learn about them and to watch a very tentative and uncertain (and lustful!) relationship ignite in thes [...]

    22. This is a great book and carries on with the good story where the first one stopped. I love that there were still glimpses of Scott and that Jordan got to see him in the end and a certain element to Native American Shaman as well. Vickie McKeehan showed how important it is to never judge a book by it's cover. I loved Hayden and especially Ethan. But the book only gets 4 stars as there was just too much stubbornness between the two. The plot of why Hayden was on the run was original and very well [...]

    23. Another new favorite authorI am truly enjoying this series! The writing is excellent, the characters well written and mesh well together, even the secondary characters. I was happy to see Jordan and Nick's story continue even though this book isn't about them. When I'm reading a series I love that they tie together in some way and I hope that continues with the next one! I also like the way 's. I also like the way Ms. McKeehan brings the main love interests together and keeps them that way, with [...]

I like the way the author includes characters from the first book while introducing new main characters with a totally different storyline. Hayden is trying to start a new life where a hired assassin can't find her but Ethan, the small town deputy know she's hiding something but is still attracted to her. I loved this book, it has love, suspense, mystery, frien [...]

    25. I received this book free from and I am voluntarily writing a review. Emile is an accountant working for a Russian investment broker when the feds show up and shut the place down. Seems he was bilking billions off innocent people and altering her statements to the bank. She is the only thing standing between him and freedom. A hit has been ordered and one failed attempt. Emile is on the run with a new identity but ends up in California stranded in a Pacific rain storm when Ethan the small town [...]

    26. Really enjoyedWell this is a new author for me but I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was delightfully surprised that it was so easy to get into. Some books take a while to take off but not this one. It had suspense, romance and some paranormal. I loved the mix and everything flowed very well. I also thought the variation was well done. It also had enough steam to keep things interesting. This is my first book that I have read by this author but am going to order the first book in the series now. [...]

    27. Hiding OutNot on the run for anything she did wrong, but on the run for her life, Hayden found herself in Pelican Pointe taking stock of her decisions. Stranded at the new B&B she meets The owners, the deputy, and the ghost that could uncover her secrets and change her life. The small town hasn't quite lived up to the ghost's fond memories of good neighbors and friendships, but it's working on it. If you loved Promise Cove, don't miss Hidden Moon Bay!

    28. wow bought first book and loved, went right on to this one and was so impressed I had to keep going with he series. Each book has a lot of the same characters but from last book to new book it is like visiting family or friends. Each book is a separate story about a couple. Their is a unexpected character who is very special to the people of this town and you will fall in love with him and all characters along with the story lines.

    29. A Very Nice ImageHidden Moon Bay is a very entertaining novel. It's mostly a love story but has a lot of action too. Emile/Hayden is the main character and she is a very likeable character along with Deputy Dawg. Jordan, and Nick. I'm sure it would have been better if I had first read book # 1 but it was also a very good stand alone book. I advise anyone thinking of reading Hidden Moon Bay to read the first Pelican Pointe book before reading this one.
