    1. If I had a time machine, I would go back a few days and pick a different book to read.

    2. Good premise, needs to be worked onThis author needs to invest in an editor and a good proofreader. Also a thesaurus would help, after using 'some' multiple times instead of: nearly, about, close to, a bit under, a little over, etc. I stopped counting after the 5th instance. The story sounded so interesting, I kept reading hoping it would improve. There is no pace to speak of, it meanders through the depressing current life of an un-tenured physics professor, and onward to several fairly miserabl [...]

    3. When Maynard Snodgrass's mother drops him off, at age seven, at an orphanage, the other kids quickly nickname him "Nerdly." It's not kind, but it is true. With looks plain enough to be boring and not ugly enough to be interesting, an excellent brain, and a self-effacing personality, Maynard evokes either complete disinterest, or a certain amount of resentment because it's just human nature to resent those you take advantage of. And Maynard gets taken advantage of a lot, because he doesn't have t [...]

    4. The product page on describes this book as "deliberately intended to make you feel good." Instead I feel like I read the fantasy of a bullied middle-schooler.There are essentially two stories in play. One is the alt-history possibilities discussed in much sci-fi. The other is the narrator's personality transformation. It's this transformation that ruined the story for me. The book starts with the narrator as an overly wimpy person who is regularly ignored or treated poorly by those who know him [...]

    5. Bizarro fiction has never really gotten on well with me, and this lacked both genuineness and coherence both. Any novel where the lubrication level of of one's penis is a scientific indicator can't be all bad though, and despite our professor not quite being emotionally on a level with the rest of us I found him hard to put down. So would i read more? Yes, without a doubt. Is it a story I can say had a lot of merit? Probably not

    6. Pretty far fetchedThe book on time travel got to be a bit tedious, although I kept reading it. The interplay of a down on his luck faculty member and how everyone took advantage held a bit of entertainment value. Most science fiction olds some modicum of truth but alas this one seems not to do so. Interesting to follow the fellow Snodgrass from beginning to end.

    7. Change history?A physics professor invents time travel machine. He is unappreciated by his colleges and after a test time travel, he decides to make himself a hero by preventing the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. You will want to read the story to find out how that went.

    9. An interesting idea for a book but the text just seemed to be drawn out. Quantity does not equal quality.

    10. Its an interesting take on the idea of time travel. lots of writing mistakes get in the way though. It also leaves some questions unanswered unfortunately.
